Haiti - FAd'H : Towards the creation of a Special Forces Unit

The High Command of the Armed Forces of Haiti participated in a working session held at the Ministry of Defense, chaired by Minister Mario Andrésol. During this meeting, several strategic priorities were addressed :

Recruit Training : Progression of personnel in training and improvement of their support and logistical arrangements;

Structure Optimization : Strengthening existing mechanisms to increase program effectiveness;

International Cooperation : Continuation and consolidation of strategic partnerships;

Operational Capabilities Launch of major projects, including the creation of a Special Forces Unit at Base Vertières, designed to enhance rapid intervention capabilities.

The session also established enhanced coordination mechanisms between the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H) to ensure more effective monitoring and greater synergy in ongoing operations.

Finally, the Minister presented the progress of preparations for the major forum on the Armed Forces, scheduled for August 21, 22, and 23, 2026, intended to foster dialogue and reflection on the future of the military institution.
