The President Michel Martelly, has named by order dated February 23, 2012, released yesterday Wednesday, a Municipal Commission of three members responsible for administering the Municipality of Port-au-Prince until the next elections.

This new administration, composed of Gabrielle Hyacinthe (President), Jean Marie Descorbett, and Junior Gérald Estimé (Mmebers), replaces the Mayor Jean-Yves Jason and his team (the assessors Nadège Augustin and Guercy Mouscardy). Jean-Yves Jason, whose mandate expired in recent months, was at the head of Port-au-Prince since 2007.
