Haiti - Security : The Minister of the Interior gives a delay of 15 days

"The Ministry of Interior, of Territorial Collectivities and National Defense (MICTDN) recalls to all those interested, the mandatory provisions of Article 268-3 of the Constitution of 1987 which states 'The Armed Forces have the monopoly of the manufacture, importation, use and possession of military weapons and of their ammunition as well as the war material.'

To this end, the Ministry of the Interior, request to all holders of war weapons [on the Haitian territory] to some group or body they belong, to declare them to the latter Institution for identification.

A delay of fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this, is granted to them for this purpose.

Fault by them to comply within the time limit, it will be taken against them the necessary legal and/or disciplinary measures."
