Taking advantage of her presence to the « Festival of the Sea » Stéphanie Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, has proceeded to the inauguration of the first kiosk info-tourism at the airport of Cap-Haitien. She also participated in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of welcome kiosk info-tourism to Milot, which will be built in two months, with the support of the Institute for the Protection of National Heritage (ISPAN), the Centre for Studies and Cooperation (CECI) and the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB-MIF). The cost of this construction will be approximately 1 million gourdes.

The Minister met the guides and drivers "red cap" (baggage handlers at the airport) to remind them of the important role they play at the level of the reception and for a regulation of tourist transportation, in order to put tourists at ease. She also had a meeting with tour operators around the problems of funding of touristic projects.

The Minister has indicated that this "Festival of the Sea" could be implanted in other coastal regions of the country to promote tourism in Haiti.
