Haiti - Tourism : Grand reportage on Haitian tourism and gastronomy

The Spanish Chef José Andrés, well known in the United States is currently create a program on the haitian tourism and gastronomy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism of Haiti. The filming of the first part of this series of reportages, started on December 14 in the Great South with stops in cities such as: Jacmel, Les Cayes, Aquin and Port-Salut.

This initiative of José Andrés and the Ministry of Tourism, aims to show to the world the richness of Haitian cuisine and the country's potential as a new tourist destination in the Caribbean. Change the image that is projected outside of Haiti and encourage people to visit the country are also the goals of this great reportage.

The Spanish Chef is currently visiting markets, hotels, restaurants, beaches, farms, fishermen's houses and natural attraction sites such as Bassin Bleu where the cook made ​​a picnic with a salad and a "rum sour"

The Spanish Chef José Andrés is very popular in the United States with its restaurants and its program : "Made in Spain" His company Think Food Group, manages restaurants Jaleo, Zaytinya, Oyamel, a minibar By José Andrés and America Eats Tavern in Washington DC ; restaurants Jaleo and é by José Andrés at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas ; and in Miami, The Bazzar by José Andrés and another restaurant at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.

In addition, Mr. Andrés leads the NGO "World Central Kitchen" (WCK), with projects in Haiti to improve the lives of people in the field of nutrition. Thanks to WCK, José joined the Global Alliance for clean kitchens as Ambassador culinary. This program is supported by the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, aims to educate the public about the harmful effects of toxic and inefficient pans in developing countries and promote alternative technologies.
