Haiti - NOTICE : Housing Loan in favor of Civil servants

A circular approved by the Prime Minister, Evans Paul and signed by Wilson Laleau, Minister of Economy and Finance (MEF), provides details concerning the Pilot Project of Housing Loan for the Civil servants and Agents of Public Service.

This pilot project proposed by the Ministry of Finance through its Directorate of Civil Pension states that :

"[...] The maximum credit granted is five million gourdes, at an interest rate of 6% per annum, repayable over a term of 15 years, from monthly deductions from wages.

It is understood that this loan financed by the Resources of the Pension funds of Public Agents and guarantees the property in question, will be repaid by the beneficiaries agents under the terms of a loan agreement with the Directorate of Civil Pension (DPC).

This project concerns all civil servants in the country. The loans granted will have to be used exclusively for the construction, renovation or acquisition of residence."
