Haiti - Culture : Launch of the Project «Plateau Jeunes Talents»

"Ayiti Mizik La", the Association of Haitian music and the Belgian association "Talia asbl" launched this week the project "Plateau Jeunes Talents 2015". With financial support from Wallonie Bruxelles International in the framework of the cooperation Haiti-Wallonia, the project will begin with a series of workshops to be held from 17 to 21 November 2015, to the Resource Centre for music, Kay Mizik La.

Situated in the line of the show "Haiti another look", this project aims to contribute to an exchange of professional skills, training and creation to encourage the emergence of a new Haitian music scene.

During 5 days, 8 artists selected will benefit from workshops on writing texts, vocal coaching, musical coaching, scenic coaching. The workshops will conclude with meetings between participants and three international trainers having implemented the show "Ewa Haiti." Alongside the artistic workshops, coaching and training will be organized for two sound engineers.

Following this training, 4 artists and technicians will be invited to Brussels for a period of one month, as part of a residency and training, coordinated by "Talia Asbl".

The public is invited to attend for free to the concert restitution of workshops, which will take place Saturday, November 21 at 7:00 pm in "Kay Mizik La" located at #35 ruelle Roy in Port-au-Prince.
