For his 3rd participation, Ambassador of Haiti in Mexico, Guy Lamothe in the presence of Undersecretary of Culture Lilian Villanueva Chan, the Secretary for Education and Culture Jose Alberto Alonso Ovando and of Director of cultural links with the United National Council for Culture and Arts (CONACULTA), Antonio Crestani, proceeded to the Maya Culture Museum in Chetumal, at the opening of the exhibition "Haiti Pintores de Callejon y Banderas Vaudou" (November 12 to 24), which presents paintings and voodoo flags, works by painters of the street. The works on display are part of the private collection of Ambassador Lamothe and of Dr. Kely Rely, a Haitian doctor established in Mexico City for over 20 years.

Ambassador Lamothe expressed all "his emotions to be able to share with other peoples scenes of Haitian culture represented by the street artists who have never attended a plastic art school and have developed a school of art in the streets, markets, popular space by expressing what is most profound in the Haitian soul," adding "It is also for us Haitians, proud to be present once again in Mexico in this Caribbean space and to have the opportunity to greet and receive the spirit of the gods of the voodoo religion through its flags," reminding guests that with the Catholic religion, voodoo is one of the official religions of Haiti.

Haiti will also be present from 14 to 22 November to the first book fair of the Caribbean in Cancun. C3 Éditions of Port-au-Prince who responded to the invitation of the Governor and the organizers, will present at this event, 43 titles in French and Spanish.
