Saturday, November 14, three men coming from Haiti, were arrested around 7:30 p.m. at Princess Juliana International Airport on the island of St. Martin (Dutch part) (Northeast Caribbean).

The three men in custody that are believed to be nationals from Syria, arrived at Princess Juliana International Airport on the flight 7I Insel Air 534 at 6:56 p.m. from the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince.

They were soon after detained by immigration at the airport, after it was discovered that the travel documents they had submitted were false.

The suspects were handed over to the back office of the Princess Juliana International Airport which investigated more thoroughly documents and determined that Greek passport with which the men were traveling were were indeed false. The suspects were remanded in custody pending further investigation.

Police call for vigilance and caution given the current situation that takes place in France.
