Haiti - Agriculture : Passing of Pierre Gary Mathieu, Coordinator of the CNSA






The agronomist Gary Mathieu (50 years), Specialist in Economics and Rural Development at the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (FAMV - Promotion 1984-1989), born in Cayes-Jacmel (Southeast) is died on the evening of Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Metropolitan Hospital of Manathan in the US.



Gary Mathieu was Coordinator of the National Coordination for Food Security (CNSA), Head of the Agricultural Inputs Store on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR). He was also head of the Intersectoral Commission for Production and Seeds. He was among others, Head of Planning abd of Emergency Program Evaluation PNUD/HAI/95/025 in the Northwest, Responsible for the Monitoring of programs GCP/HAI/013/EEC/ FAO and HAI/95/025/PNUD, Responsible Support for the National Peasant Organizations in the National Program of Inputs / Seeds. He was also the representative of Haiti within the "Initiative Latin America and Caribbean Without Hunger 2025" and member of the International Alliance Against Hunger. He was co-author of several books.



The PROMODEV (Promotion for Development) and ALLO AGRO  present their sincere condolences to his Wife Solédade Mathieu, his only daughter, the staff of the CNSA, of the Ministry of Agriculture, his classmates, at the Dean's Office of the FAMV and relatives and friends affected by this loss.
