Haiti - Politic : 250,000 gourdes of monthly pension for a President of Haiti

A new decree published in issue 205 of the official newspaper "Le Moniteur" modifies the Decree of February 18, 2011 and revises that of 6 October 2004, on the Civil Retirement pension. It introduces mechanisms to improve the conditions of retirement of the agents of public administration and changes the rules of access to retirement and the award of pensions conditions.

In addition to the various agents of the public administration (police, teachers, etc...) for the members of the Government, the Decree provides :

Amount of pensions for members of the Government :

That a President of the Republic has a monthly pension of 250,000 gourdes;

That a Prime Minister will receive a monthly pension of 150,000 gourdes;

That a senator 58 years old (that does not have 60 months of service), has a monthly pension of 15,000 gourdes per term;

That a deputy 58 years old (that does not have 60 months of service), will receive a monthly pension of 12,000 gourdes per term.

These pensions are paid by the Treasury.
