Haiti - Politic : The Minister of Defense at the FAd’H General Headquarters

On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, Jean-Michel Moïse, the new Minister of Defense, visited the Grand Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H).

The purpose of this visit was to inquire about the functioning of the institution and the working conditions of the soldiers assigned there.

During this visit, Minister Moïse met with members of the FAd'H High Staff, including the Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant-General Derby Guerrier. The discussions focused on the problems facing the military as well as the efforts to be made to strengthen the capacities of the FAd'H.

After a guided tour of the Grand Headquarters, the Minister addressed the soldiers, thanking them for their patriotism and the crucial role they play in the fight against insecurity in the country.

Furthermore, the Minister of Defense reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the capacities of the Haitian Armed Forces and improving the well-being of "soldiers who serve the Nation with exemplary dedication and courage."
