Haiti - Politic : PM met with representatives of Haiti's major religious denominations

In a spirit of dialogue and national unity, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé held, on December 19 and 20, 2024, essential meetings with representatives of the major religious denominations of Haiti.

On Thursday, December 19, the Head of Government met with the Representatives of the Episcopal Conference and on Friday, December 20, he met with those of the Protestant Federation of Haiti.

These meetings are part of an approach aimed at engaging in in-depth and constructive discussions with key sectors of the Nation.

Faced with the immense challenges facing Haiti, the Government has reiterated its commitment to building bridges between all components of Haitian society. "This path towards the harmonization of wills is essential to revive hope, consolidate Peace and restore trust between the actors of national life," stressed the Prime Minister.

Alix Didier Fils-Aimé will continue these consultations, aware that only a collective mobilization around the national cause can open a path to the future. Through these meetings, he calls on each citizen, each institution and each organization to rise above divisions and embrace, together, the historical responsibility that falls to us : that of preserving and rebuilding our beloved Haiti.

"In these crucial hours, the Government remains convinced that the strength of our people lies in its unity, its courage and its faith in a better future."
