While several Senators of the Special Commission responsible for analyzing the documents of the Prime Minister-designate, Laurent Lamothe, suggested this weekend that the report could be delivered in the office of the Senate Monday and submitted to the Assembly possibly yesterday Tuesday, it is not the case.

The Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras, President of the Senate announced that "this report will be presented preferably Tuesday, April 10. The members of the Senate Special Commission have not been able to meet the deadline, namely 15 working days," without giving any explanation of this delay,whose the most likely cause, is the unavailability of several Senators because of the Easter holiday...

For his part, Hervé Denis, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti which takes note of the delay, urges elected officials to speedily ratify the Prime Minister "We understand readily, in this regard, the Parliament's concern to ensure compliance with applicable laws. However, we must, on behalf of the common good, to exhort urgently the honorables Elected of the People, in the current difficult context, to provide the country with a government

called to address promptly the urgent challenges that concern all socio-economic categories combined."
