Haiti - Politic : Laurent Lamothe participates in the retreat of Deputies

The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, participated Sunday at the close of the retreat organized by members of the Lower House, at Club Indigo.

"I accepted with pleasure, that you have associated me with your remarkable period of reflection and deliberation in this environment more than conducive to the healing necessary to men and women of State that you are" declared the Chief of Government, who believes essential that the different branches of government come together in a patriotic order in order to face together the challenges that appear before the Fatherland.

Convinced that a new era must characterize the relationship between Parliament and the Executive, the Prime Minister said he has detect in this retreat, the promising signs of this good agreement that must inevitably lead to the resolution of the major ills of the country. "We have an urgent responsibility to work together to change things, so punctually, that is to say, in a future that can not suffer of delay, that structurally, for a long-term impact on the fundamental configuration of our country."

It was also an opportunity for the Prime Minister, to recall to the attention of Parliamentarians, the main battles to which the present Government must necessarily tackle, such as education, the fight against hunger, against unemployment, against the chronic dependence towards the assistance our partners, struggle to recover our sovereignty, for the reforestation of our lands, renewal and management of our ecosystem and the struggle for an economy that is less deficient.

Laurent Lamothe has also put the emphasis, in his speech on the urgent need to update a number of laws that the order of things of the last 25 years has made obsolete and unproductive, so that the latter, do not constitute potential barriers to the attraction of investments and to the injection of capital whose Haiti greatly needed to get into the flow of the global market.
