Haiti - Diplomacy : The Minister of Communications, met with the new Ambassador of Japan

Wednesday, Ady Jean Gardy, the Minister of Communication, met the new Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Kenji Kuratomi who was accompanied by the outgoing Ambassador, Mr. Kentaro Minami. Ambassador Kenji Kuratomi expressed his determination to continue active cooperation with Haiti in the field of communication, by supporting the idea of ​​an important technical support.

The new Ambassador insisted on the urgency to communicate around the needs of Haiti and to meet the expectations of the Ministry of Communication, who highlighted the promotion of new technologies of information and communication through the municipalities of the country, in order to bring greater visibility to the government.

For his part, the outgoing Ambassador thanked the Minister of Communication, to have contributed greatly to strengthen the ties between Haiti and Japan, while putting in place structures of interactive communication between the different strata of Haitian society. He also encouraged Mr. Ady Jean Gardy, to develop its project of civic communication to help the Haitian government to strengthen its capacity for action and of collective participation in the reconstruction.

The Minister of Communications, announced, at this meeting, the upcoming visit of President Michel Martelly in Japan [originally planned in late August and postponed due to Isaac.]
