Haiti - Politic : 17 Senators demand the departure of 3 judges of the Court of Cassation

According to Senator Jean William Jeanty, a resolution passed unanimously on Wednesday by 17 senators present in Assembly, requires the departure of 3 judges of the Court of Cassation [Anel Alexis Joseph, Kesner Michel Thermési et Frantzi Philémon] considered as "misnamed".

This resolution requests the Head of State, no less than the withdrawal of the decree appointing the three judges challenged. The Senators say they have received from former Senator Youri Latortue [now Advisor to the President Martelly] false information about these people and having been misled [2 Magistrates were not on the list submitted by the Senate to the President and Me Anel Alexis Joseph had exceeded the authorized age of 7 years]...

Jean William Jeanty said threatening, that if the President Martelly ignored this resolution, it would then come into confrontation with the Senate...

After the Senator Steven Benoit, who had mentioned belatedly, these appointments today become non-compliant, the Senator Jeanty and his colleagues, seem to suddenly wake up "officially". The same questions still arise today : Why the senators did they not see and reacted during the installation of 4 judges to the Court of Cassation, on February 17, 2012, that 2 Judge did not appear on the list of 18 submitted to the President Martelly ? Why did it take seven months to raise this point..? The installation of judges was made publicly, and it is difficult to explain that no Senator have not seen at this time, what today seems them so obvious ?
