Haiti - Social : «Ti Manman Chéri» in Thomassin

As part of the national program of social assistance "Ede Pèp", Rose Anne Auguste, the Minister Delegate in Charge of Human Rights and the Fight against Extreme Poverty, proceeded last Saturday to Thomassin 25 [next to the field of basketball], to the launch of "Ti Manman Chéri" and distributed of Baskets of Solidarity to 1,200 mothers, who just joined the program in this area, as well as hundreds of elderly.

Mothers beneficiaries of Baskets of Solidarity, have at least one child attending the following schools: École Nationale de Fermathe (Route de Kenscoff), Lycée Municipale de Thomassin (Thomassin 32), Ecole Communale de Pyron (Laboule 12), Ecole Nationale Benoit Bratraville (Laboule 13), Institut Educative de Thomassin (Thomassin 25), Ecole Nationale St-Vincent de Paul (Thomassin 25).

While addressing the demands of different target groups living in very precarious socio-economic condition, the program "Ede Pèp" supports local production, through the creation of Solidarity baskets that are composed of 80% local products purchased from Haitian farmers.
