On the occasion of the World Day of Customs, January 26, 2013, to be held under the theme "Innovation for Customs progress", the General Administration of Customs (AGD) is organizing a week of activities.

Program of the week :

Tuesday, January 22 :

Day of reflection organized by the Association of Haitian Customs Officers (ADH)

This day, organized in collaboration with members of the Association of Haitian Customs Officers was held in the premises of the AGD in Port-au-Prince. The discussions focused on the main missions of the customs, the rationalization of human resources and the modernization of the institution. During the discussions, several executives have intervened alongside guests such as Professor Louis Délima Chéry, Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University Quisqueya and Édouard Vallès Jean-Laurent, former Director of the AGD. At the end of exchange, the different participants have agreed on the fact that the Haitian government must improve its customs legislation and strengthen the technical and conceptual skills of customs officers in order to to adapt the service to the standards of the new technologies of communication and information.

Saturday, January 26, 2013 :

Mass of thanksgiving in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Turgeau at 9:00 am. Closing Gala at the Karibe Convention Center at 6:00 pm

Through this series of activities, the General Administration of Customs intends to strengthen its capacity in the country through innovation, by using the most advanced technological means and the application of a policy of proximity with the population.
