Haiti - Security : Results of the PNH (January 2013)

The Commissioner Frantz Lerebours, spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) reported that during the month of January 2013, 65 homicides were reported. As part of various investigations, 38 arrests were made, 19 murders by gunshot, 4 for involuntary homicide, 12 for attempted murder and for poisoning Also 112 arrests were made for rape and attempted rape and 14 for burglary. In the struggle led by the HNP against gangs, Frantz Lerebours indiccated that 59 criminals and 16 escapees were incarcerated.
