Haiti - Politic : Triple resignations at CEP

Tuesday, during a press conference, the President Michel Martelly announced that the 3 representatives of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) to the Permanent Electoral Council (CEP), had decided to resign, to facilitate a solution to a crisis that has lasted too long.

In addition, the Head of State indicated that the 3 representatives of the Executive in the CEP are also ready to withdraw, in order to promote a out of the impasse.

The President stated that "3 new Representatives of the Executive, at College Transitional of Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP), have already been designated by the Executive, are already designated by the Executive, which waits for the choices of other powers, to set in motion the structure that must organize this year the next elections in the country."

Having regard to the requirements made ​​by the three members of the CSPJ, before deciding to leave, the President declared that all these citizens demanded, is a recognition by the members of the Judiciary, of their responsibility in the crisis resulting from their of their taking office.
