Simon Dieuseul Desras, President of the Upper House deplores this absenteeism that nothing justifies, describing the behavior of these Senators of "indecent" and irresponsible". "It is dangerous to despise the Senate and to want to undertake actions to secure a re-election [...] the enators have a moral obligation to participate in the sessions."

President of the Senate, threatening to publish in the press the names of senators not present absent of sessions, noting that the impossibility of holding these plenary sessions risk of reducing, to few things, the results of this legislative year.
